born in Cornod, France on April 26, 1831

died in Paris in January 1914.

was considered a genre painter from the French school.

first place medal at the Paris Salon of 1868.

In 1882, elected Chevalier de la Légion d’honneuR

Lobrichon became one of the most sought after and celebrated painters for portraits of children. She was able to capture the character and personality of each child. This gift carried over to all his portraiture; rather than being just a portrait

Lobrichon created a story which involved the character’s personality. In 1884, she illustrated the very popular book "La chanson de l’enfant (The Song of A Child)" by Jean Aicard. Museums: Amsterdam Municipal Museum Musee Besançon Musee Chalons-sur-Marne Musee Limoges Mulhouse Museum
